Biography

Early Life: Born in Steventon, Hampshire, England, as the seventh of eight children to Reverend George Austen. Raised in a close-knit, highly literary household where family plays and reading were daily activities. Educated briefly at boarding schools but primarily tutored at home using her father's extensive library. Early Writing: Began writing poems, stories, and plays in notebooks during her teenage years (her Juvenilia).
